“The kids and staff are still
talking about the assembly and bombarding the library with book
requests. I'm a hero for asking you here!”

Author Visits Your Students and Staff
Will Talk About For Weeks!
At Slightly Illusional, we are dedicated to helping schools and
libraries instill a passion for reading and learning in their student’s
hearts and minds. We promise to deliver...
1. Programs that inspire kids to read. We don't just
talk about the importance of reading, we model it. In each program
we show the kids a myriad of different kinds of books that they can
read. Maybe one kid will be hooked by the books on secret codes,
another will be taken by the books on cooking and gardening, another
will be inspired to start reading the books in a series like Junie B.
Jones or A Series of Unfortunate Events.
2. Programs that support statewide learning objectives.
All of our programs are presented by a former public school teacher who
knows how valuable each day of instruction is. That's why we make
sure each program serves a dual purpose -- encouraging kids to read
and supporting learning objectives in areas such as science,
diversity, etc.
3. Programs of the highest quality. We've spared no
effort or expense to make sure you receive the highest quality program
we can offer. We encourage you to compare the quality of our
program, posters, bookmarks, etc. to any other author visit.
4. Friendly, reliable service. We've worked in the
public schools and we know the many demands on the time of teachers and
media specialists. That's why we do everything we can to make
working with Slightly Illusional as easy and hassle-free as
possible. We respond to emails promptly (usually as soon as we get
home from that day's school) and will do whatever we can to help you
make your author visit a huge success.
Please take a few minutes to browse our website and learn more about
the programs we offer and then use the contact page to let us know how
we can help you promote your students’ passion for reading and learning.
“While many performers promise that
kids will be inspired to check out books after the show, yours is the only one
I've witnessed where that actually happened. The kids were truly
inspired!”
