“Best assembly in seventeen years!!!”

-Debbie Mitts, 4/5th Grade Teacher, Lake Shore Elementary, Vancouver, WA

Who We Are

Hi, I’m Curt Nelson (I’m the one who shaved for the picture). I believe that reading is fundamental to success in life. My primary goal in my programs is to get kids excited about reading. I want them to know that they can take the initiative to promote their own learning. In fact, they can learn about any subject in the world, just by doing a little research and finding the right books.

As a middle school and high school science teacher, I’ve seen firsthand how incorporating demonstrations and humor helps students learn faster and remember longer. That’s why I intentionally make my programs fun and educationally significant.

I also believe each person is created with a purpose in life. And when you find that purpose, you will find your passion. Life is too short… Opportunities too abundant… Find your passion.

Hi, I’m Leanne the Magic Bunny (I’m the one with the small nose). I believe every bunny has a purpose. When you find your purpose, you find your passion. My passion is celery. I also enjoy traveling and meeting new friends. My future goals include meeting every student in Oregon and Washington and breaking the world celery-eating record.  I'm the star of every program we do for elementary schools, and I know it.

“Since your assembly, books are flying off the shelves!

-Louise Walkowiak, Librarian, Dufur Elementary School, OR

And don't forget about me - Roosevelt Rat! I'm also in every program that Curt does for elementary schools. That's because I'm so popular with kids and adults alike. And I'm the author -- check out the covers of my books below.  I donate one of each of my books to the library at each school we visit.

And click here for a sneak peak at my next book (coming Sept' 08)-- it's going to be a chapter book for older students (3rd-6th grade).  Most magic books just teach you how to do a collection of tricks, but this one will teach you how to THINK like a magician!

"You were wonderful.  I can't think of any way to improve!  We will be recalling this day fondly until we have back you again!"
